Novak Djokovic cruises into Monte Carlo semi-finals

The reigning champion of Monte Carlo Masters Novak Djokovic has reached into the semi-finals of the tournament after defeating Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 on Friday.

With a shaky start, the 26-year-old played a fantastic match despite losing the first set. However, Djokovic needed more than two hours to finish the match.

Now, the Serbian World No.2 Djokovic will play against the Switzerland’s Roger Federer in the semi-final on Saturday, whom he beat in last month’s Indian Wells final.

Federer, 32, will play his 50th Masters semi-final against Djokovic.

The other semifinal will be played between Stanislas Wawrinka and David Ferrer.
