Shakira to Perform ‘La La La’ at the Maracana stadium on July 13 before the final game.

FIFA have confirmed that the Colombian pop star Shakira will perform in the closing ceremony along with the Guitarist Carlos Santana, hip-hop artist Wyclef Jean and singer Alexandre Pires.

I’m thrilled … I have an intricate relationship with football for obvious reasons, and I truly understand what the World Cup means to so many people, myself included,” the 37-year-old singer said.

It will be her third consecutive World Cup appearance, after performing in 2010 at Johannesburg and in 2006 at Berlin.
