Spurs head coach Antonio Conte is expected to make widespread changes to his squad ahead of 2022-23 season.
In January, the Lilywhites brought in Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus, and it appears that Conte will return to Italy for more additions.
According to InterLive, Tottenham Hotspur are at the head of the queue to sign De Vrij, who has been touted as a key member of Inter’s backline.
The 30-year-old Dutchman has made 114 appearances in Italy’s top flight since his arrival from Lazio in 2018, helping the club win the title during the previous campaign.
However, De Vrij’s contract is due to expire in 2023, Inter may have to consider a sale this summer.
