Report – Barcelona lining up move for Diogo Dalot

Barcelona have reportedly expressed an interest in making an audacious move for Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot during next summer’s transfer window.

The 23-year-old has established himself as Man United’s first-choice right-back.

He has kept hold of his starting spot during the current campaign, with the Portugal international already making 10 appearances this season, contributing two assists in the process.

There is speculation surrounding his future at Old Trafford, though, as his current deal with the Red Devils is due to expire next June.

The 20-time English champions do have the option of activating a one-year extension.

Barcelona are said to be keen to bring in a long-term solution at defence next summer, though, and according to Sport, Dalot has been identified as the Blaugrana’s leading target.

The report adds that the Catalan giants have already been in contact with Dalot’s representatives to discuss the possibility of a move during next summer.
