Report: Anthony Martial to become Man United’s No.7

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is reportedly set to become club’s new No.7, as his current No.9 shirt will be given to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Martial has established himself as United’s stand-out player, scoring 18 goals across all competitions this season.

The 20-year-old Frenchman won the 2015 Golden Boy award, with his stunning pace and versatility made him an instant success story in the English football.

However, the striker could now be set for some competition in the Red Devils’ squad, with reports linking PSG superstar Ibrahimovic to Old Trafford this summer.

According to The Sun, the Swedish international is likely to join the 20-time English champions, with a one-year contract is set to be signed by the 34-year-old striker.

If the deal goes through, Ibrahimovic will take the No.9 shirt, with Martial replacing Memphis Depay as the No.7 jersey.
