Napoli have reportedly expressed an interest in making an audacious move for Barcelona attacker Memphis Depay.
The 28-year-old joined the Blaugrana last summer and has made 23 appearances during the 2021-22 season, scoring eight goals and providing two assists in the process.
The Dutchman still has 18 months remaining on his contract at Camp Nou, but there has been a lot of speculation surrounding his future in recent months, with the Catalan giants said to be open to letting him leave.
According to Calciomercato, Napoli are at the head of the queue to sign the attacker, with the Italian outfit viewing him as the ideal replacement for Lorenzo Insigne.
Barca already signed Ferran Torres, Adama Traore and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January, while Xavi’s side are expected to move for Erling Braut Haaland from Borussia Dortmund during this summer’s transfer window.
