Manchester United eye £50m rated Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon

The Premier League giants Manchester United are set to splash £50m to sign highly-rated teenager Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham, according to The Express.

The 18-year-old midfielder played a key part in the Cottagers’ promotion to the English Premier League last season and has appeared 23 times in the top flight this campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur were considered number one favourites to sign the England Under-21s international last season, but the Cottagers were reluctant to sell their marquee asset.

With Claudio Ranieri’s side heading for an instant return to the Championship, however, the report suggests that the Red Devils could be about to test their resolve this summer.

The 20-time English champions are said to be monitoring Sessegnon’s situation at Craven Cottage, with just less than 18 months remaining on his existing deal.

Sessegnon has scored 16 goals and provided eight assists last season.
