Manchester City lead race to sign Dusan Vlahovic

Manchester City have reportedly taken the lead in the race to sign in-demand Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic.

The 21-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the Italian outfit, with a number of clubs such as Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are understood to be interested in his signature.

The Serbia international is currently under contract at the Stadio Artemio Franchi until June 2023.

La Viola have reportedly placed a €100m price tag on the youngster, a figure Newcastle United are allegedly willing to meet.

However, La Repubblica reports that City have not given up hope of signing Vlahovic and that their pursuit is being driven by manager Pep Guardiola, who regards the Serbian to be an ideal replacement for Sergio Aguero.

Vlahovic has scored 34 goals from 44 appearances in across all competitions in 2021.
