Manchester City have reportedly identified Girona centre-back Arnau Martinez as a potential summer signing, according to Mundo Deportivo.
City have set their eyes on the 19-year-old defender. However, the Premier League champions will face competition from Barcelona.
Martinez is contracted with Girona until the end of the 2024/25 season. His €20m release clause can see him leave early. The teenager has been a transfer target for the Catalan giants, but the interest from Manchester City will make things difficult.
The Spaniard has established himself as a key player at Girona. He has made 80 appearances across all competitions since his first outing.
Martinez has been impressive this season and he is the subject of a three-way transfer battle, with Atletico Madrid also linked with the youngster.
