Man United to table £100m for Gareth Bale

Manchester United are weighing up a £100m move for Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale during the January transfer window.

The Red Devils are understood to have held a long-standing interest in the Welshman and have been linked with a big-money move to bring him back to Premier League on numerous occasions in the summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old ultimately stayed at the Spanish capital in order to help fill the void of the departed Cristiano Ronaldo, but the club’s management are reportedly unhappy with his performance and recurring injury problems.

Los Blancos are keen to sell Bale – possibly as soon as next year – and would prefer to crack a deal with Chelsea which could see Eden Hazard move in the opposite direction.

However, Spanish outlet Diario Gol as quoted by The Express claims that Manchester United are hoping to reach in on any agreement with their league rivals by offering a staggering £100m for the Wales international.

Bale has notched four times in 13 appearances across all competitions for the La Liga giants this season.
