Man United eye summer move for Norwich City youngster Ben Godfrey?

Manchester United have reportedly “explored” the possibility of signing Norwich City centre-back Ben Godfrey, according to The Sun.

The 21-year-old, who is under contract until 2022 – has helped the Canaries secure promotion to the Premier League this term, and Daniel Farke’s side are keen to keep the England Under-20 international at Carrow Road.

However, the report suggested that the Red Devils are ready to make an approach for the youngster in the coming months.

The report goes on to claim that Godfrey is not actively pursuing a transfer, but the defender is likely to be open to a switch to Manchester United should the Red Devils meet his valuation.

United are desperate to sign a new centre-back this summer and would prefer the signing is a homegrown star.
