Man City weighing up summer move for Erling Braut Haaland

Manchester City have reportedly expressed an interest in making an audacious move for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland during next summer’s transfer window.

The 20-year-old forward was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United before leaving RB Salzburg for Dortmund, where he scored 33 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions.

The Norway international, who is currently on the sidelines due to injury, has contributed 17 goals in 14 outings in all competitions at club level.

A number of clubs, including Man United and Real Madrid, are thought to be keen on the youngster, but according to Bild via Mail, the Citizens want to sign him ahead of the next campaign.

Haaland’s contract clause is said to be in the region of £68m – that will not be valid until June 2022, though, placing the Bundesliga giants in a strong position when it comes to the player’s immediate future.
