Everton join Manchester United in Eder Militao race

Everton have reportedly joined Manchester United in the race to sign in-demand Porto right-back Eder Militao.

The Brazilian only made the switch to Europe during the summer, but the defender has already established himself as an integral part of Porto’s defence.

The 20-year-old, who has a £42.5m release clause in his contract and that has sparked interest from a number of elite clubs, including Manchester United.

According to UOL, Everton have emerged as rumoured suitors for the youngster and may be willing to launch an offer before the end of this month.

If the deal goes through, Militao may be able to earn more first-team football at Goodison Park than at another club.

Militao racked up 19 starts in Portugal’s top flight and the Champions League during the current season.

The La Liga giants Real Madrid are also keen for Militao’s services but the player desires a move to the English Premier League.
