Chelsea are leading the race to sign Derby County starlet Max Bird, according to Spanish website TodoFichajes.
The Blues are in pole position to sign the 19-year-old midfielder in the summer transfer window.
The report adds that Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is hoping to wrap up a £4.8million deal for the Derby teenager to add another young talent to his squad.
Bird will see his contract at Pride Park expire at the end of June 2022.
The youngster has contributed two assists in 13 appearances for Championship outfit this season.
