Burnley’s Daniel Agyei signs new contract


Burnley striker Daniel Agyei has committed his long-term future to the club after signing a new one-year contract with The Clarets.

Agyei, 20, has entered a fresh 12-month deal following loan spells with Walsall and Blackpool in League One.

“I’m delighted to be staying,” Sky Sports News quotes the youngster as saying. “Hopefully I can come back next season and kick on and try and push for a place in the team.”

Meanwhile, Burnley’s goalkeeper Conor Mitchell has also signed a new one-year contract with the Premier League club.

Burnley to host Bournemouth in their final Premier League fixture of the season this weekend, having already secured seventh place and an entry in next season’s Europa League.
