Arsenal interested in Yves Bissouma

Arsenal’s reported interest in Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma is indeed surprising, given the intense rivalry between the two North London clubs.

The 27-year-old defensive midfielder, has flourished under manager Ange Postecoglou, becoming a linchpin in Tottenham’s midfield.

However, any potential transfer seems unlikely, considering Tottenham’s reluctance to part with one of their standout players, especially to their arch-rivals, Arsenal.

Bissouma’s consistent performances make him an attractive prospect for the Gunners, who could benefit from his skills alongside Declan Rice.

Yet, it remains uncertain whether the Gunners convince Tottenham to part with Bissouma, who appears to be in his prime. Meanwhile, Arsenal’s Thomas Partey has been linked with Italian clubs, including Juventus, potentially necessitating a midfield replacement.

Bissouma might be tempted by a move to a prestigious club like Arsenal, but for now, he seems content at Tottenham Hotspur. His priority likely lies in showcasing his abilities and helping Spurs secure a Champions League spot.

Any potential deal would likely come at a high price, with Tottenham’s chairman, Daniel Levy, known for his savvy negotiation skills. Therefore, Arsenal’s pursuit of Bissouma, while intriguing, faces significant challenges, making this transfer rumour a real long shot.
