Arsenal consider shock £30m Wilfried Bony bid

Arsenal are reportedly linked with a shock move for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony, according to The Daily Star.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is likely to launch a £30m offer for the Ivorian outcast, who stayed in Etihad on Sunday when City lost 3-2 to Gunners in a pre-season friendly in Gothenburg.

City boss Pep Guardiola dropped a massive hint the 27-year-old forward is on his way out by later and centre back Eliaquim Mangala is the only player remained “at the moment”.

It is understood the north Londoners are urging Wenger to plot a move for the ex-Swansea star, as he is the ideal option available at the moment.

But the French boss has yet to be convinced about a player who struggled to make an impact at Etihad following his £25m move from Swansea last year.
