Matt Renshaw re-signs for Brisbane Heat

Australia’s Test opener Matt Renshaw has re-signed with Brisbane Heat after making a debut in Big Bash League with the franchise last summer.

The 22-year-old has played only one game for the Heat last season but devoted his time with the franchise beneficial during his T20 game.

“I got to train alongside players like Brendon McCullum and Chris Lynn and see how they went about preparing themselves, and the type of skills they emphasised,” said Renshaw.

“It was a different training environment for me and an enjoyable change in terms of the batting skills required, which I had the chance to try out in Premier Cricket with my club Toombul in that window.”

Renshaw notched 22 runs in 19 balls in his sole Big Bash game against the Renegades.
