Jacques Rudolph to captain Glamorgan for 2015

South African batsman Jacques Rudolph has been named Glamorgan’s skipper for the 2015 season in all forms of cricket, replacing Mark Wallace, who captained the County Championship three years at the helm and Jim Allenby, who captained the T20 side.

The former Proteas Test star, who joined Glamorgan on a two-year deal in September 2013, has scored almost 2,000 runs for the county in his first season.

The 33-year-old has made 575 runs at an average of 82.14 in the Royal London Cup and 543 at 60.33 in the T20 league.

Rudolph took twitter to express his thought after becoming a new skipper for the Welsh Dragons.
