Hampshire pacer Kyle Abbott signs new three-year deal

The former South Africa international Kyle Abbott has signed a new three-year deal with English county Hampshire.

The 32-year-old seamer, who is currently playing his second spell with the county, will now remain at the Ageas Bowl until at least the end of the 2022 domestic summer.

“I’m delighted to have signed a new three-year contract with Hampshire,” Abbott told the county’s official website.

“I’d like to thank Rod and Giles for giving me the opportunity to sign a new contract and all the supporters at the Ageas Bowl who have made me feel so welcome over the last three years.”

Abbott has claimed 293 wickets at an average of 21.43 across all formats.
