Liverpool eye Real Sociedad’s Diego Llorente

Liverpool are reportedly considering a summer swoop for Real Sociedad defender Diego Llorente.

Llorente came through the youth system at Real Madrid, turning out on a regular basis for both Real Madrid C and Real Madrid Castilla, in addition to making three appearances for the first team.

The defender left the Bernabeu for Sociedad in 2017, though, and has made 52 appearances for the Basque outfit in all competitions, finding the back of the net on seven occasions.

According to Noticias de Gipuzkoa, Llorente could be available for £27m in this summer’s transfer window, which has attracted the attention of Liverpool, who are expected to move for a new centre-back at the end of the season.

The two-time Spain international has made 18 appearances for Sociedad this term.
