Arsenal’s reported target Julian Draxler has been strongly linked with a move to Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain before the summer transfer window shuts down.
The Germany international, who plays as a left winger for VfL Wolfsburg has reportedly told his employer that he wants to depart away from Volkswagen Arena this month amid rumours of the Gunners’ interest, although the German outfit insisted that he will not be allowed to leave.
However, according to the Sunday People, the French champions have now made “a formal approach” for the signature of the 22-year-old winger, who is rated at more than £50m by the Wolves.
Draxler still has four years left on his current contract with the Bundesliga outfit after joining from rivals Schalke last summer.
The north Londoners have long been connected with the German winger, but now PSG appear ready to unsettle their stance that the winger will not move this summer, who has made 23 league appearances, scoring six times for the Wolves.
