Man United set to lodge a mammoth bid for the Argentine striker

Manchester United are reportedly considering to make a HUGE £62.2m offer to finally secure the signature of Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, according to reports (Metro via Corriere dello Sport).

The Argentine superstar has been strongly linked with a move away to Premier League clubs with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool in the recent week amid speculations he’s set to leave the Italian outfit.

The report claims the Red Devils have joined the race and ready to lodge a £62.2m offer for the 28-year-old forward, who has been in excellent form this season, scoring 25 goals and provided 2 assists in 27 league games.

Jose Mourinho is heavily linked with United’s job next season and Higuain was a key member of Jose’s squad in Real Madrid that won the La Liga title in 2012.

Gonzalo might be Mourinho’s marquee signing at the Manchester United, as the 20-time English champion need a massive overhaul when the summer transfer window opens in June and must bring highly-rated stars to bring glory days back.
