The Croatian international, who has 78 caps to his name – has established himself as a key player in the Spanish capital since joining the Los Blancos from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2012 for about £30m.
Modric, 28, has made 106 appearances and scoring six goals for the European champions and helped the club to win Champions League and Copa del Rey glory last season.
It is understood Real Madrid still looking for a reinforcement in the next eleven days, when the summer transfer window will shut, as rumours regarding Di Maria and Khedira, who are expected to leave the Madrid in the coming days.
