The charismatic Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has claimed that the Blues are not favourites to win the Premier League title this year.
The Portuguese manager has guided Chelsea to top of the league table with 49 points in 21 games. However, the 51-year-old doesn’t think that the Stamford Bridge club are title favourites.
“We are not favourites, we are candidates. We have led from day one but if we were two points behind I would say the same,” he said.
Chelsea have a great opportunity to turn the heat up on the reigning champions Manchester City when the West London club face Swansea at Liberty Stadium on Tuesday.
Is Mourinho right? They’re merely contenders or its just a mind game to divert pressure from his own players.
