Julio Teheran signs 6-year extension with Atlanta Braves


The right handed pitcher Julio Teheran has signed 6-year extension with the Atlanta Braves, which will keep him at the Turner Field until 2019 season with a further option for 2020, the team announced.

According to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com, It is understood that, deal has been made of $32.4 million.

The Braves have already made two extensions in recent weeks with Jason Heyward and first baseman Freddie Freeman.

The 23-year-old is became the third extension for the Braves this offseason. With such extensions, it seems like the Braves are desperate to lock their core players for future.

The Colombian has featured in three seasons for the team and he was excellent in 2013, he went 14-8 record with 3.20 ERA in 185 2/3 innings.
