Aussie Jason Day withdraws from Travelers Championship after illness

The Australian-Filipino golfer Jason Day has confirmed that he will not be playing this week’s Travelers Championship in Connecticut after suffering from a bout of vertigo at the US Open.

The 27-year-old from Queensland has decided to not to play this week’s tournament at Chambers Bay, although his medical staff have advised him to take a break this week to ensure he returns to action as soon as possible.

Jason fell to the ground during the second round on Friday at Chambers Bay, suffering with dizziness.

He will be hopeful of making a come back at the Greenbrier Classic, which gets underway next Thursday.
