Sacked former England all-rounder Kevin Pietersen has been named Delhi Daredevils’ captain for the upcoming seventh edition of Indian Premier League – starting on 16 April, the Daredevils announced.
Pietersen reacted to the appointment of his captaincy on twitter:

Being an England’s all-time leading run-scorer in all formats, the 33-year-old maverick batsman joined Delhi Daredevils in 2012 and has scored 305 runs in eight matches with an average of 61.
IPL will start on April 16 and the first 20 IPL matches to be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), IPL official website announced.
