James Anderson left out of Test squad for India


England paceman James Anderson has been excluded in England’s 16-man squad for the five-Test match series against India as he continues his recovery from shoulder injury.

The 34-year-old, who is the country’s record Test wicket-taker with 463 scalps in 119 matches, has been ruled out of next month’s opener in Rajkot.

After wrapping up the Bangladesh series, England travel to India and the first Test gets underway in Rajkot, which starts on November 9, followed by the other four tests at Visakhapatnam, Mohali, Mumbai and Chennai.
